Element Metal Finishes Patina Oxidizers work on real copper, brass, bronze or on a metal coating. Patina oxidizer will produce a weathered or tarnished finish. Patina Oxidizer come in Patina, Verde Green, and Aqua Blue listed in order from darkest to lightest.
Surface Preparation: Surface must be completely clean and dry, free of all loose particles, dirt debris and other contaminants that could inhibit oxidizing effect.
Coverage: 250 Sq Ft per gallon. Coverage will vary depending on the application technique. The above coverage rates are estimates and will vary.
Recommend testing the color oxidizer on small surface before application.
Variables in final color are dependent on humidity, exposure time, and metal surface.
Storage: Store product in cool area and not in direct sunlight. When properly sealed and stored, the shelf life is up to 1 year.
Packaging: Available in 1 gallon, 32 oz, and 8 oz.
Aqua Blue
1. Clean the metal. (Sandblast or grind)
2. Immerse or spray the metal with the Oxidizer.
3. Set metal aside without rinsing to start the aging process.
4. Once metal dries, continue to mist with water until desired finish is achieved. 5. Rinse metal with water.
6. Set aside to let metal dry by itself.
7. Seal with Element Metal Finishes Matte or Gloss Acrylic Sealer.
